Saxion University of Applied Science (Saxion) is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the Netherlands. Although the establishment of this university dates back to 1875, it functions in its present form since 1998, when two universities, Hogeschool Enschede and Hogeschool IJselland, merged to create Saxion University.

Saxion offers various study programmes at Bachelor and Master level, as well as intensive Short courses in business, technical and environmental studies. Students can also choose to attend Intensive Preparatory courses of English language. The university puts strong emphasis on combining theory with practical skills and applied research.

Saxion University has three campuses: Deventer, Enschede and Apeldoorn. International study programmes taught in English are available in Deventer and Enschede. Campus in Deventer is located within the walking distance from the railway station and the city centre.

As a result, in studying here for 2 months I learned so much from them on subjects like presentation skills, how to do research and how to make references. The best choice you can make!

I would describe the courses as very dynamic, practical and interesting. They are all focused on international matters and current world dilemmas. Since you have a lot of presentations to make and essays or reports to write, you really improve your legal or business skills. I do think that studying is much easier and more useful when you do a lot of research and writing on your own
